Act of sorrow

My God, I repent and sorrow with all my heart for my sins, because by sinning I have deserved your chastisements, and much more because I have offended you, infinitely good and worthy of being loved above all things.
I propose with your holy help never to offend you again and to flee the coming occasions of sin. Lord, mercy, forgive me.

Angel of God

Angel of God, who are my guardian, enlighten, guard, rule and govern me who was entrusted to you by Heavenly Mercy. Amen.

Salve Regina

Hail, Queen, mother of mercy; life, sweetness and our hope, hail.
To you we turn, exiled children of Eve; to you we sigh, moaning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Therefore, O our advocate, turn those merciful eyes of yours upon us.
And show us, after this exile, Jesus, the blessed fruit of your womb.

Confiteor

I confess to Almighty God and to you, brethren, that I have greatly sinned in thoughts, words, works and omissions: through my fault, my fault, my very great fault.

I think

I believe in one God, Almighty Father, creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages: God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not created, of the same substance as the Father; through him all things were created.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven; and by the Holy Spirit he became incarnate in the womb of the Virgin Mary and became man.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, died and was buried.
On the third day he was resurrected, according to the Scriptures, he ascended into heaven, he sits at the right hand of the Father.
And again he will come, in glory, to judge the living and the dead, and his reign will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, who is Lord and gives life, and proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified, and he spoke through the prophets.
I believe the Church, one, holy, catholic and apostolic.
I profess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

O my dear and good Jesus, by your holy grace, I do not want to offend you any more, nor ever again disgust you, for I love you above all things.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit,

Lord, bless my parents. Give them health, peace and joy. Grant that they may always be united in your love and may raise me according to your will. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our support against the wiles and wickedness of the devil. May God exercise his dominion over him, we beseech thee. Prayer to St. Joseph

To you, O blessed Joseph, straitened by tribulation we turn, and confidently we invoke your patronage together with that of your most holy Bride. Prayer to Padre Pio

O glorious Padre Pio, who in life bore witness to God's great love by your suffering and dedication, intercede for us before the Lord. Obtain for us the graces we need and help us to live according to God's will, loving and serving our neighbor. Amen.

How to prepare for evening prayer

1. Find a quiet moment: Choose a quiet time in the evening, possibly before bedtime, when you can devote yourself to prayer without distraction.
2. Creates a favorable environment: Choose a place in the house where you feel comfortable and that is conducive to recollection. You can also light a candle or use a holy icon to create a spiritual atmosphere.
3. Make an examination of conscience: Before beginning the prayer, take a few minutes to reflect on the past day. Give thanks for the gifts you received, acknowledge your shortcomings and ask forgiveness for the mistakes you made.
4. Relax and breathe deeply: Sit comfortably or kneel down, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to calm the mind and body, promoting concentration on prayer.
5. Start with a sign of devotion: You can begin the prayer by making the sign of the cross or another sacred gesture according to your religious tradition to indicate that you are entering into a time of communion with God.
6. Express gratitude: Start your prayer by thanking God for the graces received during the day, for the people you love and for all the blessings of life.
7. Entrust your worries to God: Bring before God your concerns, the challenges you are facing and the people who need help. Ask for His support and guidance.
8. Conclude with a request for a blessing: End your prayer by asking God to bless your night's rest and to accompany you always with His loving presence.
